Privacy Policy

This site is run by the collectives behind the Stop Syngenta campaign against Syngenta and the agrochemical industry (see Who We Are). We built it to share information about the mobilisation, not to track anyone, so here's exactly what little data is involved.

Analytics: no cookies, no personal profiles

We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It doesn't use cookies, and it doesn't collect or store any personal data. All it gives us is anonymised, aggregated numbers, so no individual visitor can ever be identified, and we never share anything with advertisers or data brokers.

The map uses outside map tiles

The Map of Actions page loads its background map from CARTO and OpenStreetMap. Like any map service, fetching those tiles sends your IP address to those providers as part of a normal request. We don't see or store that data ourselves, so check CARTO's and OpenStreetMap's own privacy policies if you want the details.

Your language choice stays on your device

If you switch languages, we save your choice in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time you visit. That stays on your device. It's never sent to us.

Links to other organisations

Lots of pages link out to the websites of supporting collectives, unions and associations, petition platforms, and social media. Once you click through to one of those, their privacy policy applies, not ours.

What we don't do

No ad trackers, no selling or sharing data with third parties, and no accounts, logins or forms collecting personal information anywhere on this site.

Questions or requests

If you have any questions about this policy or how the campaign handles information, write to stop-pesticides3oct@riseup.net. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the EU's GDPR or Switzerland's Federal Act on Data Protection to access, correct, or ask us to delete any personal data concerning you.

Changes
